Leave all suggestions and comments and i will respond as soon as a can!
============================
Includes:
A Volcano with a fort in the ridge, and a mini one, so you can see the concept of how i made one, im not sure if thats considered eye candy. ??
After Examining Quite a few maps, this is soon to be, My MASTERPEICE (insert fanasty music here). I Try to keep the player interested, by making it hard, so if food is a priority, Use Religion and Inns

Just from the mini map I can tell this is going to be a blast. People read the write ups and then decide to download your work. Be enthusiastic in the intial write up, and you will see more reponse I have noticed. Will rate after completion.

Thanks Lollard, i have play tested it, tried to make it more.. interesting. I Belive there maybe bugs, and i did a boo-boo (lol) or something, please let me know. I made it so you can only put a few wheat farms (you CAN add more wheat farms, you gotta find the spots )

There is a stockpile issue where you cant get your starting wood placed on the stockpile, therefore you cannot proceed to placing your granary. So the map doesnt play at all. Stockpile needs to be fixed.

Playability: 5
I like this map. I have to rate it a five because it was a facinating blend of having to work the economic goals - % blessed, ale consumption were two of them - and fighting with limited numbers of troops in a siege setting! I like how a few crossbowmen (less than 10) can hold off a whole invading force at a good gatehouse. If you can get the goals together quickly, you dont have to face all the invaders. I also used a tricky strategy to win, to get the ale consumption up quickly at the end to meet the goal, I killed off the population and destroyed two houses. This left only a couple people who had to get blessed and drunk. Much easier!
Balance: 5
Its a stronghold 1 map, so you can play it on whatever level you want. If you play on easy (like I did) you get a good challenge where they dont get in the keep at all. The resources are hard to get to because of the distance and attacks. Woodcutters are really worthwhile here. I also used alot of caged war dogs because they only cost wood and gold, I seemed to have plenty of money most of the time. You have to make all your weapons, and this puts more focus on the use of the barracks and armory. Good Balance, with enough challenge that I will play this again soon on my own.
Creativity: 4
Good and uncomplicated map with a fine idea that scores a 4 (Excellent). Getting resources together and fighting small siege battles makes this one of the best type of invasion scenarios out there.
Map Design: 5
Hey this map is a good example of what I talk about in my article on map design. This map doesnt make the common mistake of trying to cram as much as possible on a map, and somehow make it all work together and look good. Why do all that? An example of the great design features: the bubbling tar pits all around. The forested broken ground and mountainous terrain make this a 5 on map design.
Story/Instructions: 4
Good. As I said before, if you make the intro on the map page interesting to read, more people will download it and play this great all around map.
Additional Comments:
Good to see you are still putting out the good maps once in a while. I will watch for more of your work in the future.

Perhaps it's just my game but I seem to have run into a major glitch with this map.
I D/L'ed the latest version and cannot win because it refuses to recognize that the keep is enclosed. I can tell it's complete by closing the outer-most gate and it won't allow troops to move in or out of the castle. I played it up until 1097 with all other conditions met and finally just dumped it.
Did no one else have this problem? |

Hi Sir Lurchalot,
if you delete the inner walls and the inner gatehouse enclosing the keep you'll get this goal completed... ;-)

I just finished on "normal difficulty and I finally registered only 4%casualties and a population of 56 souls;instead of using "lollard's trick" I achieved the ale goal by placing three inns... let's check it on "hard"!
;-)
