I needed break from making a map for the 2nd historical competition, so I made this one. It is inspired by Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Story: You are on a quest for the Holy Grail. You have searched long and hard and have finally found that it rests in a rude French Casle (actually Scottish in real life). They taunght many times, but the bucket of offal dumped on you was the last chance. He calls on his hidden army. Knights, Charge!
One thing though, the French lies on an island in a lake that is only accessible during low tide. Time is of the essence. Hint: nasty surprises.
I recommend that if you haven't seen "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" that you do
because it is a good laugh. One of my favorite commedies.
May your swords stay sharp!

Note: No rabbits were hurt in the production of this map.
Playability: 3
Map is too hard at current strength. Its a comedy how hard. I guess that is intended. If your friend beat this, I would like to know the secret. Too much oil.
Balance: 2.5
Again too much to overcome before even getting up to the castle. If you get up to attack it, you are burned in the oil that is all around the ways of approach. I played this twice, trying to attack from different crossings too. It didnt work, and the caged war dogs + pitch pits make this impossible to win.

Hey, its a monty python based map. Nice.
Map Design: 3.5
Not sure on whether to rate this as a special map based on the movie, or just another siege. It has a plague event, even though you do not have a keep so I guess thats a movie event. I watched the movie years ago, and cant remember the specifics. I took off because defending crossbowmen in a elevated position is basic and tough.
Story/Instructions: 4.5
Now for something completely different....
For people interested, the real legend says Gallahad found the Holy Grail.
Additional Comments:
Funny map with impossible odds, representative of the movie, I assume.
