On the Sacred Isle at Thistlewort Monastery, Sir William learns of the treacheries plotted by Prince Lupus -- and of the trap King Aldwich is walking into. Swift action must be taken if the king is going to return safely to these shores.

This is Chapter 4 of a ten mission campaign. Set in a fictitious realm, it chronicles the suffering, struggles and battles of men who are loyal to the true king.
Chapter 4 returns Usurper to the above average category!
PLAYABILITY: You have to decide what forces you want as you quickly (well, as fast as possible) assemble your men. What you pick to play with dramatically effects the outcome.
BALANCE: Very well balanced! Force composition plays a major role, as does preparing to fend off the minor invasions. If you don't adequately prepare, you wil lose, as you need as many of your troops as possible for the assault on the Castle.
CREATIVITY: Well-made map, good story to go with it, but the same old attack shortly after game start. By Chapter 4, anyone playing the series should already know what to expect at the beginning.
MAP DESIGN: The map has some finer details and fully supports the story. Thus, it fulfills all expected of it.
STORY/INSTRUCTIONS: The story, again, is entertaining, but left me with the following question: If King Aldwich is able to get out word that he is continuing his return in secret why can't he be told to use a different destination, as the one he is aiming for is hostile to his crown?
This map is easily the best of the Usurper series so far. Played within the context of Usurper or as a stand alone map, it is sure to thrill it's players.

Wow this was an awesome mission. I had to restart it about a million times until I was able to win. I liked the idea of not being able to grow your own food. Not only did I have to keep a steady eye on my food supply – I also had to make sure that I was producing enough weapons. I really enjoyed myself. Onto part 5! - Dianna

This map was certainly improved in comparism to 2 and 3. The mapwas much harder for one thing and was more creative than the two precious chapters. Perfectly playablr - no real flaws. As I said the map was much harder especially with no market for trade - frustrating! Creativity and Map design I markey togther and I could have easily given 5 for creativity and 3 for map design(made no difference) Storyline yet again a real statue raising the review score.
Hope it continues like this - these maps are most enjoyable and entertaining to play.
