Lord Karpathea Interesting. You give HIS mount doom a 5 for creativity, but mine a 4, even though mine came out first.........strange..........

It's interesting, but the scenarios that I enjoy most are the open-field ones, with a big battle that MUST contain slaughter an enourmous scale. I am happy to announce that for all bloodbath fans, you may commence the battle! But there is something for the more strategical people as well. There are a couple of different ways to play this map, with varying degrees of sucess involved. Always, the first thing to do is to get the troops that are already engaged in battle and pull them out. In the North-West, you will have to sacrifice your pikeman. The archers will pull back to the main force immediately. The same goes for the other side. Try to save up your Knights, they can be real handy. The first is pretty obvious, a full force charge yelling madly and swinging your weapons around, with the missile troops to provide backup. Another is to use your knights to lure enemy soldiers in to a trap, with arrows coming in from all sides. You may also attempt a flank attack, in which the bulk of your army takes theirs head on, while a band of knights with some ranged cover take out the "elite" guys guarding Sauron. It is then a simple matter of defeating the master of Middle Earth.

Balance: 4
Well, it wasnt exactly the most intense challenge I've faced. I had a variety of troops, which I find is always a good thing. There were enough troops so that you could win easily on normal and you only had to try a bit harder to win on the hard difficulty level. I won first go on Very Hard, after a bit of a struggle. This speaks volumes about the map. If you win first time on this level, it is obviously too easy. To improve this I would recommend that you had some of that army attack your army, all lined up to recieve them on pikes.

Creativity: 5
An original idea. To my knowldege there are only 2 other Last Alliance scenarios on this site. The use of Iron ore as lava is pretty cool as well.


Map Design: 5
Some great looking rugged terrain on this map. You'll beat Warlords Designs yet ;). Don't think I need to say that much else, you sure know what to do.

Story/Instructions: 2
Alas, the bane of designers left, right and centre. The inability to come up with a good story. With this map you had the luxury of already having one there for you. All you had to do was copy it out. In about half an hour you could raise this score to a 5 if you tried.

Overall, YOU SHOULD DOWNLOAD THIS MAP!!!!!!
