The king is far away, anarchy rules all over the land. Establish your castle and protect it from bandits. support the inhabitans with some goods and give them a strenght during those hard times...
BAH! I had almost won and my hill caught fire! Wouldn't have been bad if my lord wasn't taking a walk...

Well, I finished it. It was fun and time consuming but I had to bring you down a point because at one point it was just annoying.

This map lives up to it's title! This is possibly the most annoying and evil map I have ever played. Between bandits, fires, and everything else scripted in I could barely reach my goals after a few hours play. The bandits continuously trashed my quarries until I built a wall around it. Then they broke the wall and trashed the quarries again. To stop the bandits I built forts, one to the south of the hill and one to the east in order to control the bandits. I finally got the where they popped up in a cross-fire and were cut to pieces. Another annoying thing about this map is the huge amounts of empty flatland. This is usually a good thing for farms if it weren't for the trees. I ignored them and paid the price; Thousands of trees covering every square inch of land I hadn't surrounded with walls. I got the first fort in before they could take over but I had to get the help of about 20 woodcutters to clear an area. Another 50 woodcutters spread about the map finally started to keep the trees at bay and I had about 1000 wood in the stockpile at all times. Again the name could not be more accurate.

A torn land with you having to re-unite it is a little old. The campaign is about it! Still, I liked the statue.

Good parts, bad parts. Could use more terrain differences on the flatland like little bumps in the earth, not to mention dirt, rocks, shrubs to choke off those blasted trees, ect. Better than Milk and Honey but could still use a lot of work. Oh and stop the bumps on the river. In my opinion it is just ugly and if you are going for rapids maybe put stones and rocks with foam around them. Instead of fords maybe put a bridge or just spots of shallows that connect.

Again, it's not very creative and it was short. Try to fill out the story with descritive words and such. There was also a part that made no sense; you say the king abandoned you and you must make your own kingdom, ect... but you also put that the King might repay you when he returns. That just doesn't mix right.
Additional Comments: A decent and fun map though it could use some work. As I said before in a comment, I filled out half the map with buildings and my hill caught fire when my lord was talking to the troops or whatever he does. I never stood a chance! Luckily I saved earlier though.

Nicely done. Challenging and pretty difficult, without getting the sense it's utterly impossible.

Additional Comments:
Challenging map, and rather difficult. The many goals are set pretty high, but it's doable.
