The Battle for the Dominion of Sauron This was the final major battle against Sauron in the War of the Ring, fought at the Black Gate of Mordor. The Army of the West, roughly 6,000 strong, led by Aragorn marched on the gate as a diversionary feint to distract Sauron's attention from Frodo and Sam, who were carrying the One Ring through Mordor. It was hoped that Sauron would think Aragorn had the Ring and was now trying to use it to overthrow Mordor.
Although Aragorn and the other captains had more than 10,000 soldiers available to fight, they left many soldiers in Minas Tirith to defend against assault.
Before the battle began, Sauron sent one of his servants, the Black Númenórean called the Mouth of Sauron, to speak with the Captains of the West. He tried to trick Gandalf into believing Sauron held Frodo captive, displaying as evidence items that had belonged to Frodo and Sam (Sam's sword, an Elven cloak, and Frodo's mithril shirt.) The Mouth threatened that Frodo would be tortured if the West did not agree to Sauron's terms of surrender. (It is clear that while Sauron knew there was a Hobbit in Mordor, he did not know why.) Gandalf, however, refused to be swayed, took the items from the Mouth of Sauron, and sent him away. Amazed and angered, the Mouth of Sauron rode back to the Black Gate, let it be opened, and the forces of Sauron marched out. At the same time, more of Sauron's forces that had been hidden in the hills around the Black Gate came forth, thus surrounding the Men of the West. Sauron's army outnumbered that of the West by at least ten to one. The Army of the West divided itself into two rings upon two great hills of rubble opposite the gate: Aragorn, Gandalf, and the sons of Elrond were on the left ring, with Éomer, Imrahil, and the Knights of Dol Amroth on the right.
Against Aragorn's army was arrayed Sauron's hordes of Orcs, Trolls, and Mannish allies such as the Easterlings and Southrons (Haradrim). An exact count is not given of the number of Sauron's forces, though Tolkien says they were "ten times and more than ten times" the size of Aragorn's army. This puts the size of Sauron's army at greater than 600,000. The Olog-hai, improved Trolls much like the Uruk-hai were improved Orcs, first made an appearance.
Unfortunately, due to some miracle of the Istari, the army of Sauron has been destroyed and the Men of the West have gotten through to the lands of Mordor.
Now it is up to you to finish the people of Middle Earth. You are in command of the remaining armies of Mordor and must eliminate them. To get the orc production back and running, you will need to provide the orcs with food and provisions to improve their morale and make production faster. Gather what you can and fortify The Lands of Evil. This not Mordor specifically. The map has Cirith Ungol, Isengard, Minas Morgul, Mount Doom, and the Tower of Sauron all in it.
Objectives: -Acquire 20 Ale
-Acquire 30 Meat. (time limit: 4 years for both objectives)
-Eliminate all enemy units and invasions
-Do not let Sauron die.
Final note: You will now have to handle economic and war issues. Use your skill to handle this.
***Updates:*** 7/07/06 8:42 PM: - I have now modified this as a more economic map. This is because I did not want the map to be too easy just like William Tell said. Map's still pretty much the same except I took out the 1000 orcs and replaced them with only a couple. Now you have to actually build your army and defend.
7/08/06 1:52 PM: - Added deer cause I clumsily forgot to
- Reduced amount of archers at Minas Morgul
7/08/06 10:26 PM: - Changed your playing color, you are now playing as black and are facing blue people led by the Snake.

???? OOh you mean my titles, sorry, I just had so much to write. To be honest, I was getting desperate for a rating so I thought it was a way of advertising things and catching people's attention but then I looked through some other maps and realised the wait was normally long so I shortened it juss for you. :P[Edited on 07/07/06 @ 09:29 PM]
