Fight in a major bloody civil war. Defend Camelot from a massive invasion by enemy Lords. Use your castle's superb defensive capabilities to defy your enemies and protect your Lord. Survive their assault for 6 years. It won't be easy; your enemies are relentless.
This is my first attempt at creating a map. I'm glad so many people have downloaded it so far. I gather from your comments that this style of gameplay--tactical warfare--is relatively unheard of for most experienced players who are used to scenarios that require a lot of thinking strategy and resource economics. (I think this map does include those aspects but in a somewhat different way.)
Enjoy!

Version 2
---------
Well, here it is. I've created an update, as promised. My goal was to balance gameplay to suit advanced players by improving the complexity of the tactical decisions you make. If played on the normal difficulty its a bit more challenging than before; play it on very hard, and its damn well near impossible. :)
I increased the siege capability of the opposing armies, especially in the beginning in order to 'soften up' Camelot's defenses. (This is so they can penetrate farther into your castle later on. This adds to the suspense of defeat.) But don't think you can repair every tower they destroy, you won't have enough resources this time.
You will find the strength of the side perimeters has been increased slightly but the armies will now approach each side of the castle with equal influence instead of from the one side which is faltering. That said, deployment will be much more of an issue for your troops.
I also extended the battle period to 6 years. The reason is because I needed to give the opposing army ample time to breach the walls and wreak havoc from inside before they make their way up to your Lord. :(
A Few Hints:
As before, because their are so many defensive and offensive capabilities on each side, the strategic aspect of this map comes from not just on how many pitch ditches you light up or how many projectiles you hurl at one person but in whom those targets are that you're trying to hit. So make every hit count! You will have to because the castle is so big; they'll be a lot of tactical decisions to make. But remember... protect your archers, they are the only ones who'll light up those ditches for you. ;)
Playability: 3/5
I started this map and was amazed with all the nice castle building and pitch placing. After I started I quicly placed moat in whole the outer courtyard, wich was very effective. After that I realeased all the dogs and organised my troops as I wanted. After that a sat back and enjoyed the show. But after a while it got booring cause nothing happened more then enemys being killed and enemys arriving and being killed. So it ended up with me sitting playing electric guitar and watching thousands and thousands of people dying.
And in the end I won after working for two minutes and waiting for mayeby an half and hour.
Balance: 2/5
I finished it on my first try with 6% casualties. Says it all.
Creativity: 3/5
I see you have taken some time making nice castle buildings but not very much time for landscape, requesting playtesters or testing it yourself.
Map Design: 4/5
As I said, the castle is really nice, but the landscape was a bit mediocre. Pop into the SD forum or the map room to get examples of how to create really nice landscape.
Story/Instructions: 4/5
A short in game story and some instructions
Overall: 3.2/5
This is a perfect example of a "new designer map". Nice castle, mediocre landscape, big invasions, bad balance. But its a good beginning.. The things you'll have to work on are balance and landscaping.
The next time you upload a map, request playtester in the map room first. So you can work more on balnce and make it Perfect.
