The sun dips low over the village of Srium. Giant fruit bats flap ponderously overhead and a cooling breeze rustles the palms as grasshoppers chirp in the long grass. Laughter is heard nearby as people toast to their friendship. Crouching back behind a huge boulder, “ I think it’s safe!”. Sighing deeply Billy and Seamus gets up and heads for the village for water. “Wait! Just wait!” you yell out. A bitingly cold winter wind chills you to the bone when a couple of horsemen appear in the village. You decide your first priority is to bring your 50 men home alive, no matter the cost and would commit the unforgivable sin of making yourself visible to the enemy.
It’s been almost a week since you’ve seen another village. You now face a slow-paced several hours walk of seemingly vertical miles. When any of the men felt the pain of blisters, twisted knees or collapsed ankles, they would work their way in front, hold Troushab’s hand and pray. Left for dead by friends and family Troushab was found in severe conditions in your crossing. His skin is a diary of torture. A craggy scar ran across his skull. His back was streaked with faded stripes. As a young monk, he visited once-resplendent monasteries that his enemies had left in ruins. “God will find a way to punish the Relants for what they have done!” cries Troushab.
Day sixteen: There’s signs of smoke in the clearing just as you and your men cross a river. Another village in ruins. “They were here!, Why are they doing this? Will we never get back home? I don’t have my ship anymore. To think I came here just for trade” A breeze fans the blaze, funneling fire and smoke through the burning huts. Watching what is left of his hut burn down, an old man picks up a sword left by the Relants, says “ Now the only hope for those who dream of freedom is not to return the favor and fight back”
A small stretch of land between mountains in a country torn down by war. Will you stay and fight or find a safest route back home by sea?

I loved how you made sure us cheating humans can't abuse the stones and spam-create quarries and ox tethers. Made it a lot harder to gain gold and stone. I played on the eastern side of the river with two Fredericks allied together on the western side, and let me tell you, it was a hard game.
