As you hear the news of your brother's capture, you quickly assemble your army and prepare to march against the Duke the Hobblescorn, who is held up in his mountain fortress to the east of the Hazy Pine Forest. Upon reaching the western edge of the Hazy Pine Forest, your scouts inform you that a hostile force loyal to the Duke has occupied a stronghold that blocks your path of advancement. Your military advisors suggest capturing this stronghold to use as a staging point for your push into the heart of Hobblescorn.
Make haste, and capture the stronghold at all cost. Your brother's life is at stake.
let me be a good critic nothing but flat lands and 1 hill i saw nothing special or important about this map and really brought to tears to my eyes i really hope this was your first map made.
P.S. try adding more elevation to your maps and also add a little more varity in landscape

I updated yet again. This time I made the northern and eastern section of the map more elevated than the southern and western regions, due to the fact that you are suppose to be marching towards a mountainous area. I added a small gatehouse to the backside of the castle with a drawbridge for the moat, and continued the road off to the northeast towards Hobblescorn.
I hope this is a little better than it was before, and I tested the map and can still successfully defend and attack the castle on Easy and Normal difficulties. I havent had time to test hard or very hard, but the new gate seems to have little to no effect.

coconut, i see you have learned a few things and are getting better(=-)
Roadblock, a forest is more flat then hilly, but adding more oasis(river) in the forst of make a little cliff might help it look more realistic, but you're on your way

Thank you for the review! Personally, I like attacking this castle more than defending it :)

coconutman111 i know you mean well by your review but you need to explain why you have given the score. Go into detail the things you liked and disliked and give the designer something to work with. You are new here so i felt someone needed to tell you :)
