Ynis Coinean (Gaelic for Rabbit Island, but that name was already taken) is a free standing scenario, set on an island linked to the mainland by a large bridge. You have been chased out of your home country and found a quiet place to settle down. Busy making a place for your people and god to stay and prosper you are discovered by the local Lord who will do his best to get rid of your settlement, sending in troops to destroy you . Now is the time to defend and gather weapons. You know this is your final chance, for if you are driven back into the sea there will be no place left to run.
NOTE: Even though these games are labelled as Invasion maps, they concentrate at least as much, if not more on the Economic challenges.
Tips: - Beware: the invasion marker is not accurate - Ignore your defenses and you will be in for a rude awakening. - Keeping your people happy will help
Great map, very playable, good map design, very creative, well balanced, and good story and instructions to go by.
Playabiluty: Very playable, very fun to play with many diff. ways to try to play the map, cant say much more or will give it away.
Balance: I found this just right, i lost the first 2 times on hard, but then won my next few tries, very entertaining gameplay.
Creativity: Very creative, it took diff. gameplay to most maps ive lpayed to win this map, because the map design is so diff. itself,it is very good.
Map Design: in one word: GREAT! This is a very diff. map to most ive played and i thoroughly enjoyed it,the design is diff. because u start on an island, which has a single bridge to cross,it is a great stroyline to go with it,:)
Story/Instructions: Great story to go with a great map,i wont say any more as to not give it away.
A MUST PLAY MAP! great and very enjoyable game play.

This is yet another good fun map from Jayhawk. The goals are quite hard to achive and as my invasion/eco skills are quite limited I started the map on easy. I was quite slow starting and and it took me quite a few months to get my economy operational - teh rabbits were a bit of pain! Worked well with a nice creative storyline. I was so near completing the map 65/100 iron and all other goals reached when the AI cam with their last attack - my iron lay demolished and they also got across to the island. I had to recruit sworsdmen taking away my metal armour - it was so frustrating and it took me a long time to recover after that - I had to start off armour production again. Anyway i really enjoyed going after these goals and I developed rather a nice little economy on the island, my cathedral as the centre piece. This map is very creative and well designed - really good idea having the rabbit island. Youy can build a nice settlement there as well. Good map design, not quite a 5 but nice andn realistic and a very safe 4. Storyline a nice piece but perhaps not quite enough for a full 5 but very close. Overall a very good map and i would recomend it to anyone - beginners to play on easy though. Good work - I enjoyed playing it!
