War was declared...
And you took position in this frontier castle. Rumors say that General Wolf will lead a siege to occupy this important castle. If the castle is lost then the entire region will be dominated!
You ordered one of yours vassals and, with your sister's agree, offered her in marriage to forge an alliance with an independent lord nearby. He has a powerful army of cavalry that can help to break the siege and save the castle.
"The Wolf is briding mercenaries in this region! What is he planning? And where are the cavalry and our guards? The enemy is invading many sides of our kingdom and the bandits and thiefs are everywhere!" these are the rumors that you heard from the people during the long months that passed...
Then in July of 1010 year of our Lord the cavalry arrives. But where are your guards that leaved the secure castle to train? Maybe they have lost in the marsh said one of your men. Without them there is no chance of hope...
The wolf takes a fortress in a hill to lead the assault. Some villagers noticed a great army aproaching and warned you. You called all villagers to the castle. And not even a crumb of bread will be leaved behind! When the siege ends reconstruct the castle from ashes and run again the good economy that have always been, the zone is rich if well explored (ironicaly it has the best iron and in large amounts but isn't all at hand) and then kill the General Wolf! He will call a second attack soon or later and will destroy your farms at every chance!
There are some tips in a text file in the download.
This was a really good map, it had eye candy and it was complicated, espesialy with all those freakin fires-but it was enjoyable. Good Job

Wow!!! That's really nice to hear that. It took much work and dedication, I have some maps almost ready (balacing, you known boring after 5 or 10 times playing it...) and equally good.
da_CONQUEROR I tryed to make challeging the attack to the Wolf and that fire was a crucial part of course.
What about the defence was hard? (and in hard was possible to win? I didn't tested at all... I only made it not pass the sprite limit)
What about the special events? Too easy?
Did you were attacked by the second invaion?
I really like to do some eye-candies. That ideia of stockpiles and others in...hummm... degrees was fun and worked.
And I couldn't resist to ask these questions to help me make it harder and even more enjoyable
