Dam That River

Author File Description
File Details
Map Size: 300x300 (Medium)
Difficulty: Hard

It's a year 1327. King Danny Ficherman marches with his army to the forest of Yenwood to find an fortress to siege, he has heard of a fortress built up in the river area so his army follows the rivers to find it... so Ficherman with his army sees the fortress an thinks it is easy to defeat becouse of their knights strong armour, arrows can't pass the shields and armours of his men, so he thinks it should be an easy job, but he haven't noticed that a long time ago when this strategic castle was built the builders put an burnable pitch under the land to path to the king so if there was an attack it could be used as an trap, also killing pits have been placed around the river killing... So Fichermans makes his plans with army commanders and makes a decision where to attack the castle... Fichermans gives an engouragin speech to his army then he gives an order to attack, right away men are getting killed by the cruel killing pits buried in the ground... is this an mistake or will Danny Ficherman succeed in this badass and hard mission to conquer the forest areas, it's up to you commander...

Here is screenshots from this map:

I had fun making this map and i hope you have fun playing this too, this should be the ones who like the siege a little bit different than just a one big castle with inside an king. this is something different for a chance.

If you find bugs with the attacking just let me know and i update the file as fast as i can, but im sorry that i can't update the computer intelligence in defending i guess, it may sometimes be stupid, hope you understand..

Feel free to Comment and Review this map it is all appreciated, thanks!

Good luck and Have fun!

That's right, i wanted to make some different kind of terrain for chance, i havent seen stronghold sieges with as much river in them.
Knightly_Maps Great looking map.

With the story issue, if I was to be reviewing, I'd look for any form of a story, and any additional items inside the .zip file.

For example my maps usually have the story, then a help/tips file, and often accompanied by a picture of two ingame.

That way, even if the story is as basic as
'In (year), The people were flooded by the great river they had lived on for centuries in harmony. Without finding the source, these people are now being invaded by an enemy force! Will you lead the attackers, keen for land, or the defenders, standing for righteousness (and striving for international acceptance of the Geneva Convention? :P )' it allows the reviewer to be able to mark something in that category. And usually that means a 3 instead of a 1.
The Hitman Looks like some AI is trying to build his castle over the rivers :D A very known glicth from Crusader. Anyway very good terraining, I gave it a try.
