The march along the Old Coast Road to the enemy castle was frought with danger. A number of your troops never expected to triumph and are relieved to be able to return to East Burh, to see their families and loved ones. Weary from battle and hunger, those who survived the siege are looking forward to a hearty meal and some ale to refresh thmselves. You are emphatic and overjoyed with victory. Yet something troubles you... by all accounts, the scouts' reports were a grave concern, as hundreds of troops were to have landed at the coast. You are perturbed by what you encountered at their castle, and expected a larger fight. You mull this over as you return to East Burh...
This is the final chapter in the East Burh series. The map plays out as an invasion, no economic goals are required and the timespan is fairly short. Defend the Burh and you win.
Thought I’d check this one out and play it later (see the map etc..) I walked into a nightmare. The kind where enormous armies immediately try to do unspeakable things to you. I lost 3 times. The first two were due to my Lord’s abject incompetence not mine. I almost made it the 3rd. I will be ready next time. This is a fast-moving, massive slugfest. Great castle layout, although it was wiped out in about 2 minutes. The ancestors of Davy Crockett were all in East Burh. I think I saw Braveheart and Dirty Harry there too. Thank god for that. Next time! I’ll show them. Playability 5. Balance 5. Creativity 5. Map 5. Story 4. Play it.
