Siege of Korj Castle
Playability: 5
There is a little gap, a ¡§trench¡¨, in front of the gatehouse. This makes the invasions have to blast their way through the wooden part of the castle before reaching the main stone section. If you took out the trench this map would be more playable. Otherwise it¡¦s an enjoyable quick siege.
Balance: 3
-Attacking, played on Very Hard (2.5)-
The castle does prove to be a formidable defense if not for a few fatal flaws. After searching for a weak spot, I¡¦ve concluded that the wooden wall near the gatehouse and trench is the most vulnerable. Then all the player has to do is carefully manoeuvre everybody to the bottom left corner signpost and build a battering ram. It¡¦s much too easy, if the player sends in the weak units first they will be shot down. So sending in the swordsmen first to protect the ram is better.
Then once the walls are breached send in every remaining unit, and it¡¦s an easy victory. The engineer with boiling oil is not close enough to the edge of the keep, so he can¡¦t burn anybody. Perhaps you can fix this.
-Defending, played on Very Hard (3.5)-
Playing on Defending is a bit more balanced. The knights should be used to take out the siege tents before the engineers even get a chance to reach them. Usually the player¡¦s xbows and archers should damage the heavily armoured swordsmen and pikemen as they take the long trip around the castle. Fire can help if the situation is dire.

For a quick LOTR-inspired map this is a start ;)
Map Design: 3.5
Not enough detail around the map. The pathways stand out far too much and the stone seems to be out of place.
Story/Instructions: 2.5
Other than the screen, nothing else related to the map is present... you could explain why this castle is being sieged, or why it¡¦s called ¡§Korj Castle¡¨, etc.
