Playability: 2.5
This map was not exciting for me to play, rather it was boring. The time in between invasions was too long, and they were repelled easily. These long times in between invasions made it take 28 years, too long for me. The one point of excitement was a fire that burned down a whole bunch of buildings, at least 8 bakeries, 4 fletchers, my granaries, a mill, 5 breweries. probably more, all because I ignored a message about making wells. However it was not much of a problem as I had about 5300 gold and 270 gold. This section was the good part about this map, due to the freedom that the map offered.Although there are economic requirements, the time available allows multiple approaches to the map that the player can experiment with at leisure.
Balance: 2.5
This map was not hard to beat. The chokepoints are what caused the problems, along with the time in between invasions. The chokepoints made it easy to only have a small number of troops attack at a time. The time between invasions allows the player to make plenty of troops to repel the invasion.
Creativity: 2.0
Not much that is super creative about this map. No eyecandy, except the ruins; map was generally normal looking, but not creative. No story was written to give a creative motive either (certainly would have helped a lot)
Map Design: 2.5
To me it felt completely unfinished with overall design, it has very obvious flaws like this one http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm277/MasterOfPhate/poordesign.jpg and the landscape itself is very plain, no shrubs, or anything except some few boulders to decorate the land besides trees. The river stood out as the worst point. Not only did it look forced and fake, with nothing in it and it being very wide, but the fords made this map a joke. It was easy to exploit them as choke points and none of the enemy came close to touching my walls.
Story/Instructions: 1.0
You have one line in the download section that is not even grammatically correct. Next time please provide at least some explanation for the requirements. They were very very random. Ale, blessed and a small bread requirement... Why are these things needed to win??? Next time make a story to explain the point of the mission.
Additional Comments: The good part about this map was the freedom it offered. Although there are economic requirements, the time available allows multiple approaches to the map that the player can experiment with at leisure.
