Hi,
This is my first map so I hope its ok, although I have been playing for a long time, making scenarios is still new to me, because I spend most of my time skirmishing and castle building. anyways..
The map is called Apocalypse, basic invasion map. The spearman and the slaves are basically the undead. I have blocked alot of trades, units and buildings to depict the scarceness of everything.
The really cool thing is that some pheasants when under sieges actually say " The apocalypse is upon us ".
Notes:
1 stockpile ( try to keep it that way for the fun )
-theres suppose to be 1 stone in the stockpile, there is a way to get rid of it, look around.
Alot of descision making and market-resource-stockpile management, you will need all the resource you can get.
Playability: 3.5
It was too easy for me. But still, immensely fun. As there is limited farmspace, popularity is constantly a problem. This is very great for a first map, but I have some tips for ya:
*Set the slaves to aggresive.
*Set more invasions before the last invasion.
*To make things harder, set the last invasion to different kinds of troops, not just only spearmen. Spearmen are very weak against crossbowmen. If you still want to keep the same kind of troop though, change the spearmen to macemen.
Balance: 3.5
Good balance, but needs some improvement. As I said before, there aren't any small invasions between the start date and the last battle, so that allowed me to keep my economy running without any problems (for example, in the Historical Campaigns maps they have routine "scouting parties".)
Creativity: 3
Beautifully destroyed castle you made there. The thing is that the rest of the map is kinda empty. Ruins (very fitting according to the title) would fill in the blanks.
Map Design: 2.5
The land around the castle is fine, but everywhere else is... plain desert? You could use the raise land tool here. If used correctly, it will give a sandy appearance.
Story/Instructions: 3.5
Instructions were sufficient enough to give any player a good start. :)
Additional Comments:
Good for a first ;)
Make more maps! It'll be fun, I guarantee ya.
