I haven't put up a map in a while, but I decided this one was good enough. I just made it the other day and I tested it out, and it is a lot of fun.
-This map is great because it is designed for a 3vs 3 battle. The war-zone is split by a winding river, and the landscape is adorned with numerous mountains. The high cliffs have trails leading up and over, while there are also hidden paths through the rocks as well. But be careful, these Mountains are Perilous!!
-Here is a warning!! I design all my maps with the real life human players being my priority, so I am sorry if some of the AI's don't work properly. However the AI's that I am sure work are the Rat, Snake, Sultan, Pig, and any of the other small/medium castle AI's (So the wolf will probably not work since he builds larger castles).
Well I really enjoyed making this map and, loved playing it too! I hope you like it.
PS: A comment would be Awesome!! :)

The minimap looks quite nice, but I think you should work on your stone and iron - they do not look very natural.
Moreover, you could vary the oasis terrain (add some "thick grass" to make it look more interesting, for example).
I think this map may be nice to play, and graphically good enough. But some enhancements would be nice, just add some details, vary the terrains and try to add some rocks, elevations, different terrains or bushes around the iron and stone deposits to make it look more natural and more interesting.
Then, simply upload the updated map and people will like your map a lot more.

Playability: 4
You stated this map works best for multiplayer, and it really is. I just tried this with 5 other players online, and it was a blast. Lots of resources and plenty of stone/iron gives frantic fun gameplay. As expected, AI's that build large don't build their entire castle. This doesn't prevent them from building troops and attacking you however. You could easily make this a great map for AI's if you move the river and mountains around a little to give more room for the Wolf and Saladin.
Balance: 3.0
Balance is okay, but not great. There's more room for the bottom team, and a little more stone/iron too. Again, some minor adjustments to the layout can help.
Creativity: 3.5
the overall design is nothing spectacular - your average split down the middle river scenario with bottlenecks to defend. But, there were some creative details that made gameplay fun. I liked the narrow mountain paths and the swamp in the middle bottleneck slows down troops for a nice challenging multiplayer game. Loaded towers and horse archers are good units there.
Map Design: 3.5
Overall it's good. Giving certain keeps more room would be a good idea. Some more polishing on the map, particularly on the stone, iron, and mountains would make the map look great and play even better.
Story/Instructions: 2
No story to speak of, but you let us know some tips and warnings on how to play this one, so thank you for that.
Additional Comments:
I liked this map. It's good, but could be really great with a little more work. Keep making maps! |
