UPDATED 1
This update pays a little more time on map detail and also includes an extra 'historically correct' version of the Battle of Marshank along with the twisted storyline one.
The extra map includes the following features: Fewer defending troops, less starting gold, fewer purchasable troop types and smaller (but much stronger) invitations. This extra map should be near impossible.
Enjoy.
First off, thanks to ericgolf for the recommendation of the map PNG.
Secondly, this map is based of a book in the Redwall series. If you don't know what I'm talking about you can follow this link to the wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redwall#Plot_summary
Now, on to the map itself.
Martin the warrior seems to have meant what he said when he vowed to escape the life of slavery you gave to him and to take back his fathers sword, for now he has returned with an army. Guards must be awakened, armed and sent of to the walls. And by now, you also probably wish that those darn slave had finished your fortress before the escaped. Should history be proven correct, you and everyone in the fortress of Marshank will die, Martin will take back the sword and you'll be no more than a memory. And why should history prove correct? Defend Marshank at all cost!
Notes.
I've taken the liberty of further mutilating the story line of 'Martin the Warrior' by making it so he out numbers you, Badrang the Tyrant. There can, at any one time, be more than tree-hundred enemy units on the map, if you're running a computer that is both slow and old, be warned. You can also purchase a few more units for defence. I won't say now so as to make you plan while under attack (yes, I'm always this cruel). Also, it may be worth informing you that you can't build anything, it is a full out defence map. This is also my first Crusader map, so feedback is welcome as I would like future maps to be better than this one.
Have fun,
R.
