I don't know why but your maps look really wide! They look like that they're 500 X 500 maps! How do you do this?

I take this like a compliment. Really For your question, I dont know. Perhaps is it because of hills and mountains reliefs, in succession with low lands parts. Sometime cliffs even force workers to a longer trip to find their way (I dont use this to much not to penalize players). I do my best to offer various landscape, and avoid flat lands.

The map played great.
We know that Crusader tends to spam goods and troops. Here, the danger of an easy (& boring) victory is met by various measures which come from a thorough acquaintance with the game.
- The player has to struggle with an uneven and maze-kind landscape. After placing the Keep, placing the further building is an ongoing puzzle.
- Restrictions in trading. All weapons, for example, have to be hand-made. One dairy farm is a must.
- No portable shields. I lost many archers during the last invasion.
The invasions arrive in a perfect balance. And this means in both their strength and composition as well as concerning the times: not too early, not late.
In the end, though parts of the castle were laying in ruins, it felt pity to me that the game was over.
Remark. Relocating the stockpile appears neccesary, for its expansion and to shorten the ways of the workers.

If you enjoyed the map, Peter, so the goal is reached. really it's a kind of stronghold map transposed to crusaders. I didn't try to made anything extraordinary things in this map, just let player be the master of the game, and win or loose from his own choice.
