After you flee from your old village, you come across these inhabited lands, filled with resources and abundant lush grass.
However, there is a reason why it is lacking of higher primates: lions dominate and survey over these fertile fields.
Can you build a new future for your family, and build a safe-haven?
Very good map for your first one. Now if you are among those who replies on the comments of users, I can write some words about this map. :)

I'd love that!

When I saw this minimap, I re-called a map which I made when I started mapmaking and this resembles that map very closely. :)
Very nice map and idea for your first one. A wide, varied kind land with some beasts awaits for castle-builders. 'Place your own keep' fact is also extensive as the resources are spread all over the map. Moreover, the 'lively' river is also creative. The ridge and hill to the top looks good when seen by 'zoom out'. Lions, not much a challenge though, looks really terrifying when running in these plains.
However, the placement of only one signpost have made this map less challenging. Morover, there is only one pathway (ford) in the northern river from which they can pass. When look generally, it appears that you probably have used large sized brush mostly for painting grass and river. Because of large brush, a sharp boundary between grass and earth consequently makes it look a bit un natural.
Overall, very good map for your first one and I hope you'll continue painting new maps. :)
I'm always in search of a new Crusader mapmaker which I think he/she can improve and I think you can improve.

Thanks, man! I have already been working on a map paying more attention to my brushsize. Expect it really soon!

This is quite possibly my favorite Castle Building map, but there are A LOT of lions which is obviously a key part of the map but my lord died numerous times (probably because I sent him out to battle the beasts) and you might want to isolate them to the left side of the river so we have a chance to put up walls or troops.
Balance: 5
The map's resources were very balanced in my say. You could either stick to the river for grassland and wait for your stone, iron, etc. Or vise versa
Creativity: 5
This map is very well thought-out. I love the idea of the lions reigning over the area, I personally would've never thought of that and I play this game all time ever since I was a child!
Map Design: 4.5
The design was quite possibly perfect. You honestly should be a map designer for Firefly Studios. The only two contingencies I spotted was the shrub/bush placement. They were kinda dragged along in straight lines. And I like to have an even spread of Signposts so I can F1 invasions to test my city's defenses.
Story/Instructions: 4.5
like I said in the Creativity section, I love the idea for the lions being harbored in the area but was there an exact reason why the people were refugees?
Additional Comments:
I love the detail you put into this, please continue map making! I would love to see more maps posted on your account! I understand that master-craft maps like this take time but being impatient is my curse. This is awesome, thank you for making it!
