Story
Throughout history, Danube was border of great Kingdoms and Empires in Europe. Many armies were crossing this great river in order to down the other. In twelfth century it was no different.
It's quite thin for the Danube river.
Believe me, I live near it :P

Yea! My father visited Danube. It is quite broad. Also in the third mission of Evil pathway in SHL campaign. :)
But anyhow, thumbs up for the map design.

I know that too, I live in Novi Sad - my house is close to the embankment! :D I am pretty aware of how large Danube is, and I believe it is even larger there in Romania... Nevertheless, I wanted to call my first Stronghold 1 map after this river! :)

That's nice, I remember one of my first maps also featured the Danube river:P The design is a good start but if you try to create a more complex scenario with scripting and events, I assure it will make mapmaking even more fun:P

Indeed it would be cool if you attach a small scenario/story to the map.
And LoH what scripting are you talking about? This is a multiplayer map not one of those boring invasion things....

I also have some more maps in my mind to make - first I will make some practice with multiplayer maps. They have no scenario, but making them I hope I will practice making good looking environment! After that I am planning to make a campaign following history of medieval Serbia, but of course: one step in a time! :)

I was thinking about writing a story, but I didn't know what to write, as this is a multiplayer map, with no scenario, and each player sees the map from his own perspective depending of his position and other possible things...
Nevertheless, if I make up something, I will certainly write it! :)

@Grossen
I know it's a MP map. I was suggesting to Eagle that trying to create a singleplayer scenario with scripting and pre-set gameplay would be more fun than just design some hills and count it as a MP map:P

All that depends of what someone want... Making map with scenario is more fun from the aspect of map making, especially if you've got some interesting story to tell! In the other hand, each player will rarely play scenario map many times - it would be boring to play one single thing over and over again, but it is possible to play a multiplayer map with friends, and each time to have different experience.
