My maps are more simulations than stratetic fights. As simulations, they are as real as possible und represents always the lifetime of a ruler. You are this ruler, and your task will be to survive the time. These times will be sometimes very peacfully ( ;.)) may be, to peacefully), sometimes you will have nearly no chance. But which castle hat a chance, to survive the great war in Germany around 1618?
With every new generation, the apperance of the castle changes, because people always do exactly this. The landscapes changes too, because the existence of the castle and the settlements changes it. I recommend therefore, that you are looking for updates, because the maps could be very different. The events of earlier maps influences always the events of the new one.
You always get a completly developed large castle. Therefore happens nothing important in the first 5 years. The castles have the chance, to run fully, and you have the chance, to become acquainted with all functions. Best playable at 80%. Heavy freguented wooden portals slows sometime movements. Delete them, and it will be o.k.
As it isn’t possible to write in-game comments, you will find in the introduction of the map , what wil happen and why.
You are part of the history of Lippspringe, a castle with a living history. Although it really exists and the map based on it, the map is not a model of Lippspringe. The History is complete fictional.
Around 1300 . the empire of the once barbaric Fohren was decaying, and the old powers return and are struggling for influence in the heart of Tauren. Pedr Rabisic, Member of the “Order of the holy Way”, returns from the north and builds Lippspringe, but Norgia hasn’t lost power at all, and the dukes of Sangershausen don’t like their religious competitors
1312 - 1367 (55 years): Old Powers and fights in the middle of the heart
You are Pedr Rabisic, a fanatic religious man and meber of the order in the north, who decided I to return in the heart of Tauren, where Norgia looses more and more power. But you underestimated the power of Norgia, and there is the duke of Sangershausen, who don’t like competing candidates ….
Hints: You have a lot of time, but you will need it. You are not very powerful or rich, and there will be two dangerous invasions. Be prepared for the first one, build traps and engage soldiers, if you can. You have to avert, that the first invaders damage your castle serverly, otherwise you will have no chance, when the second invasion begins. But if your castle is damaged, concentrate on building up your army.

One thing I do notice about all your maps is they have this little tag:
"You always get a completly developed large castle. Therefore happens nothing important in the first 5 years."
While this would be nice for beginners to Stronghold, the fact that most players are far more experienced means you essentially give them 5 years of free time. Knowing that the castle is already mostly or completely developed means there are very few pieces to take care of. My economy is already running smoothly, which means I have five years to adequately prepare for ANYthing you could throw my way. The result is all of your maps have been very easy wins for me... :/ Maybe in future maps have less of a waiting period. 5 years is simply too long to make any of the maps challenging. |

I appreciate hints like this one. The point: The castles were never developed to be published in the internet. I own a very sophisticated system of dice throws to decide the fate of the castles , but this isn't useful in the public. If you overlooked the maps, you will see, that there were already several changes in scripting and there will be more.
So I will reduce the Beginning to two years. May be, it's a good idea to reduce the oconomy too, so that it has to be built up. Or to reduce the army to nearly zero. May be, the this would be the most realistic and most challenging ..... ;-) Anyway, it would be nice to get more comments to this aspects. |

Äääähhhh ... ;-)) I wrote somewhere, I am not a stratetic. Seemingly. MY Lippspringe cstle is meanwhile a ruin, only very few walls remains, and noone knows the place anymore ....;-)) |

Look out for coming castles and updates. there will be a change in the script design, and you will have to build up an army for your own in the way you think it will be necessary, and the rows of events begin already in the first years.
Fare more important:
There is a severe bug in the new HD. If you design maps and you try to set soldiers, command them or delete them, the game shuts down.
So it MIGHT be, that older maps generally don't run in HD. I didn't prove it, but be careful .... |
