Playability: 5/5. This is a great little siege map that runs extremely smoothly, partly due to the small size, and offers a really good fight at any level of difficulty. Definitely fun and stress relieving! Simple enough to play, you only really have a wall/gatehouse and the keep to storm. I've played this many times now and find it very enjoyable each time.
Balance: 4/5. Opens as a defend map and after some easy victories I opted to play on very hard. Masses of troops to defend against and the key here is to be patient and wait until they have breached the walls. At this point the swordsmen and pikemen towards your keep. I decided to ignite the pitch ditches when they were in range, which decimated the attacking force. Once you know how to defend it loses its appeal a little, but a great map for fighting nonetheless.
Creativity: 3/5. Nice to see a siege on a small map. Gameplay is smooth as a result and whilst this is a standard siege of a castle it's solidly done and hard to see where you can go wrong in terms of design.
Map Design: 3/5. Not the most appealing of maps and would have looked fantastic if work was put into the landscape. Another functional map rather than appealing.
Story/Instructions: 2/5. Nothing really here to inspire and therefore the low score reflects this. Could do with some instructions or a bit of a story.
IN SUMMARY: Despite its rather dull appearance this is a great little siege map well worth a download, especially to defend on very hard and maybe attack on normal/hard.
