Storyline

We are counting the year 1181 A. D., about 10 miles north of Jerusalem, once being occupied by Christian troops since the end of the second crusade in 1149. The Saracenes had completely destroyed and burnt down this former outpost, mercilessly massacred all the „infidels“.
Now the Pope has charged you to cover again the crusaders’ presence in the Holy Land. First of all, it is your task to reactivate the abandoned stone quarries in order to compile all necessary ashlars being needed for the reconstruction of any damaged fortifications. Though there is a handicap you have to deal with:
The majority of all allied troops have already left Palestine, so you will be dependent on help of some reliable Arabian slingers and fire throwers trying to defend with passion against Saladin’s assaults, as David did against the giant Goliath in ancient times.
Don’t speculate on many auxiliary troops sent by the Pope, you may only recruit miners to fight in using their pickaxes like weapons.

Be brave, it’ll pay off!

Hint: Beware of threatening fires, so protect your single house next to the keep, as you are not enabled to rebuild it in view of a limited population!

Enjoy the scenario, I’m looking forward to reading any kind of comment/criticism or review.
