Lake Chiemsee, June 1275. You require more resources and food supplies. Therefore, you have decided to move into the Bavarian flatlands. The word of your revolt has spread. Some apple farmers support your resistance. They have offered you to stock up your supplies through their apple orchards which are situated behind some marshlands. As you currently have no better option, you accept their offer and march through the night through the Snake's territory to Lake Chiemsee. Entrench yourselves there and clear the thicket to obtain further grasslands. Close by, there is a small village of farmers of the Snake. Therefore, to go unrecognised, you have clothed yourselves in the colours of the Snake - will it help? Certainly, the small group of riders will be of help who have been sent by a good old friend. They should arrive shortly.

I am fascinated by the depth of strategic thinking Stronghold requires from the player, and even more, the world editor, which allows you to design a map to the greatest level of detail and reflect all of nature's beauty in it.
Acknowledging the great work many authors have contributed to the Stronghold Community here, I created a set of missions to conquer medieval Germany. The missions have been grouped into several campaigns and feature many real-life maps, including many original German castles. The missions also include a number of fictional maps, a few of which relate to The Lord of the Rings (but which ones, will be left to you to guess).
The remaining missions will be uploaded in stages within the coming weeks once I have completed my test run.
At 'very hard' settings, most of my missions are hard but feasible.
This one took a lot of tries, first I played it on very hard. I had to reduce difficulty to ''hard''
After so many tries I won, I paid a lot of attention to any spot and had to dug a lot to be able to win, but the inconsistency of the terrain made digging a difficult task, not a complain, just commenting.
It was fun after all, thanks for the map.

Thanks for commenting! The map has been designed in a way that makes it necessary to surround your castle with strong walls (as in real life). When I put difficulty as "hard", my maps will likely require the player to use every minute wisely to grow their economy, make more money, and acquire more troops.
About the digging, I acknowledge digging a ditch makes it easy to defend a castle, therefore, in many of my maps, I don't give the user the chance to simply dig a very wide ditch all around, otherwise, the maps could become boring :)

Made some tweaks to the map now about the ability to dig a ditch ;)
