Notes

You start this mission with two wheat farms on fire; however you still have one wheat farm and a handful of orchards in full production. In addition to this, you have six archers. Start by building two new wheat farms as near to the stockpile as possible. 3 wheat farms will give you plenty of wheat and the mill will churn out plenty of flour to support six bakeries with ease. This will be more than sufficient to meet the economic goal. In addition to this, you have a few woodcutters’ huts placed around the map. You don’t need to build any more. With 1000 starting gold you can build two or three pole turners’ workshops (I found two to be more than enough). You can build an archers’ workshop if you feel inclined, but again I didn’t find this necessary. Make sure that you build an additional granary to hold the bread and apples you will have in abundance and turn off bread consumption. The orchards were able to sustain the population quite well.

In January 1100 there was an invasion of 5 horse archers, which were defeated with no problems by my pikemen. By this time you should be near to meeting the bread requirement. I faced another invasion of 5 horse archers in July 1101, again easily seen off by my pikemen which numbered 35+ at this point.
